Beyond time

The Flow of the Seasons

-Pressed Flower Art-
I have been involved in floral arrangement for about 40 years.
Seeking to preserve and express my designs as pressed flower art, I entered the world of pressed flowers about 30 years ago.
Using original techniques, I dry plants in their natural state.
Using specialized drying mats with superior drying capabilities, I complete the pressed flowers in a short time.
The vibrantly colored finished pressed flowers are stored long-term in special bags.
I then frame these pressed flowers as art pieces.
After designing, using my unique technique, I remove and seal out air, allowing the beautiful flower colors to be enjoyed for a long time.
I value the plant’s form and shape, finishing them without coloring, using their natural colors, and without any glue.
Removing air creates a vacuum, preventing the design from shifting.
Exposure to air is the greatest damage to dried pressed flowers.
Creating pressed flowers begins with collecting plants.
Freshness is crucial for pressed flower art.
Over time, vibrant colors begin to fade.
Therefore, the work of growing plants or collecting them is also important,
and materials for pressed flowers are gathered year-round.
The season when flowers bloom is the moment. If you miss that moment, you must wait until the next season.
It is both a labor and a pleasure.
Each piece is an expression of the heart at that moment, flowers of memory.
I would be honored if you could see those feelings.
