Captivated by the traditional shape of Japanese teapots dating back to the Edo period, I primarily create tea ware ceramics through self-taught methods.
I strive daily to provide unique tea ware that enhances your tea time experience.
Commitment to the Work
The clay is an original blend, currently produced in three types: red clay, white clay, and black clay. We continue to refine our techniques through trial and error, pursuing even better colors and textures in our clay.
Captivated by the simple teapot shapes of the late Edo period, we seek the inherent beauty of the teapot form itself, deliberately focusing on plain teapots with minimal decoration.
Furthermore, to enhance the enjoyment of the taste and aroma when brewing tea, we primarily use unglazed, hard-fired techniques. We also aim to create truly unique, once-in-a-lifetime teapots that become so comfortable in the user’s hands they become irreplaceable.
To offer the joy of selecting such teapots, we deliberately create each piece freely, guided by the sensation of the wheel, the hand, and the clay itself. This process produces subtle differences that can only be truly appreciated when held in hand.
